HENNESSEY- Frank C.W. Gritz, 83, died in a Hennessey nursing home Sunday.  His services will be Wednesday in the Union Chapel Christian Church east of Hennessey with the Rev. Harold Brown and the Rev Joe Redmond officiating. 

Burial will be in Lyon Valley cemetery, across from the church, with Cordry and Son Funeral Home of Hennessey in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service with the casket remaining closed following the service.

Gritz was born in Kansas Feb. 12, 1892.  He moved with his parents to Hennessey in 1900 and has lived in the Hennessey community since.  He married Eva Ricks Sept 10, 1913. 

Survivors include his wife, Eva, of the home; three sons, Raymond, Enid, Gene, Glendale, Calif., and Bill, Hennessey; four daughters, Mrs. Letha Dixon, Kingfisher, Mrs. Fae Bybee, Monrovia, Calif., Mrs. Gladys Silver, Hennessey, and Mrs. Dorothy Steele, Enid; four brothers, H.V., Oklahoma City, Dewitt, Hennessey, Ervin, Alburn, Ala., and Elmer, Enid; 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

HENNESSEY - Services for Eva E. Gritz, 88, who died Wednesday evening in a nursing home at Hennessey, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Union Chapel Church, 5 miles east and 1 mile north of Hennessey.  The Rev. Harold Brown will officiate. 

Burial will be in Lyon Valley Cemetery across from the church, under the direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home. The casket will be open at the church one hour before the service and remain closed after the service.

Survivors include four daughters, Letha Dixon, Kingfisher, Fay Bybee, Monrovia, Calif., Gladys Silver, Hennessey, and Dorothy Steele of Enid; three sons, Raymond, Enid, Gene, Glendale, Calif.,and Bill, Hennessey; 24 grandchildren; and 38 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by one son, one granddaughter and three brothers. Memorials in her name may be made to the Union Chapel Fellowship Hall.
