Hennessey – The funeral for Ruth Goetzinger, 88, will be at 2 PM Saturday at the
Dover Christian Church. The Revs. Randy Beeman and Fred Jones will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lyon Valley Cemetery at Hennessey under direction of Cordry – Sisson Funeral Home.
She was born May 14, 1905, in Dover to John Wesley and Mary White Gorrell and
died Wednesday, January 26, 1994, at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital, Enid.
On December 25, 1926, she married John Peter Goetzinger at Dover. He was a
member of the Dover Christian Church, served as Secretary – Treasurer of the
Dover Christian Sunday School for 25 years and belonged to the Dover Christian
Women's Fellowship.
Surviving are one daughter, Laydonna States of Dover; one son, John Wayne of
Bartlesville; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, one sister and two sons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
