Hennessey – The funeral for Jewel H. Elledge, 86, who died Monday, July 6, 1992
at Shamrock Care Center No. 2 in Kingfisher, will be at 10:30 AM Thursday at
Cordry and Son Funeral Home, Hennessey. Dr. Don Rogers will officiate. Burial
will follow in Lyon Valley Cemetery east of Hennessey.
She was born March 14, 1906, at Boswell to James and Lilly Montgomery and
received her education at Boswell and Oklahoma City. She was a member of First
Baptist Church in Hennessey and Rebekah Lodge.
In 1928, she married Brady Henry. They farmed east of Hennessey, moving into
town in 1956. He died December 29, 1962.
On April 16, 1965, she married Charles Elledge at Muskogee. They lived in
Hennessey. He died September 6, 1989.
Surviving are one brother, L. J. Montgomery of Kingfisher; one niece, Ona Gay
Glazier of Loyal; and two nephews, Rex Montgomery of Yukon and Dix Montgomery of
Keller, Texas.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three
sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of the donors
choice.
