Services for Arthur E. "Art" Brown, 69, will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Coy Donakey and Ron Graber officiating.

Burial will be in Lyon Valley Cemetery east of Hennessey.

He was born April 23, 1919, on a farm 5 miles east of bison and died Monday at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He attended school in Crescent and Guthrie and had farmed in the Douglas community since 1938. Preceding him death was his father.

Survivors include his mother, Lillie R. Brown, of the home southwest of Douglas; four sisters, Anna Brown, Betty Hamm both of Stillwater, Maxine Sadler of Perry and Elizabeth Baker of Waukomis; three brothers, Joe of the home, Herbert of Glencoe and Vic of Marshall.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart Division. The funeral home will serve as custodian of the fund.
