WILLIAM WALKER , A PIONEER 
RESIDENT, DIED YESTERDAY  

William Walker, aged 82 years, a pioneer resident of Lacy Township, passed  away Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock. 

He had been practically an invalid  for two years and was confined to his bed for several weeks preceding his  demise, as a result of a stroke of paralysis.  His wife passed away in 1919  and he has since made his home with his son, Benjamin, a half mile south  of Lacey.  

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Lacy school building and were  largely attended by old friends and neighbors who esteemed him much.

He  was laid to rest in Lacy Cemetery beside his wife. 

He will be greatly missed  by his old friends of Lacy Township.

DEATH COMES TO
MRS. WILLIAM WALKER

Was Well Known Resident of Lacy Township - Had Been Ill For Township - Had Been Ill For Several Weeks

Mrs. William Walker, a well known resident of Lacy Township, passed away about midnight Saturday night, at the General Hospital in Enid, where she had been taken the Friday preceding in the hope that she might be benefited, Her death was due to pneumonia. In her weakened condition as a result of an illness with the influenza, she could offer little resistance to the progress of the disease. She had been ill for seven weeks.

The funeral was held Sunday, and many neighbors and old friends paid their last respects to one whom they had loved well. Her death brought grievous sorrow for many, The family have the sympathy of their friends in their sorrow.
