The funeral for Carl Zerger, 93, of Hennessey, will be 10:30 a.m.
Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Hennessey. The Rev. Robyn
Thompson-Goggs and L.D. Choate will officiate. Burial will be in
Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1912, in Houston, to Ralph Elmer Sr. and Mary House
Zerger and died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Hennessey Care Center.
He married Gail M. Miller Sept. 26, 1933, in Hennessey. He was a member
of First United Methodist Church and International Order of Oddfellows.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Zerger of Enid and Chaplain Major Mark
Zerger of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two daughters, Marilyn Reinhardt of Tulsa
and Sybil Bowles of Lahoma; and one sister, Sybil Barnes of Rogue River,
Ore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail, one brother and four
sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist
Church or Hennessey Senior Citizens Center.
