The funeral for Dee Spurrier, 87 will be at 11:00 AM Thursday February 28, 2019 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Chris Gordon.Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Dee was born in Seminole on May 25, 1931 to Ed and Ida Phillips Workman and died Friday February 22, 2019 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.
She married John Spurrier in Seminole on March 12, 1951. Dee was a member of First Baptist Church.
Dee was a very talented painter who loved arts and crafts. She also loved her cats.
She is survived by two sons Steve Spurrier of Tulsa, Terry Spurrier of Perkins; twelve grandchildren Matthew Spurrier and wife Carol, Adam Spurrier, Brianna Fusick and husband Mark, Christopher Spurrier and wife Sarah, Brittany Spurrier, Jill Wilburn and husband Brian, Bryan Spurrier, Laura Moulton and husband Brice, Sandy Fipps and husband Dustin, Amy Hochstrasser and husband Ty, Thomas Spurrier and wife Sarah, Andrew Spurrier; eighteen greatgrandchildren Sophia, Liam, Jackson, Maizy, Ada, Nathan, Zachary, Alicia, Blake, Raycye, Revin, Rustin, Hayden, Dakota, Khalil, Makayla, Caroline, and Emory.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband John, one brother, one sister and one son Phillip Spurrier.
Memorial donations may be made to Hennessey High School Art Dept. with
the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
