A Celebration of Life for Robert "Bob" Shaw, 82, Enid, is 2 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016, at Central Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hennessey Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Lacy, the son of Frank and Wilma Holloway Shaw and passed away August 9, 2016. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
At the age of four, the family moved to a farm east of there that his folks had bought.
He went to the Mound Ridge one-room school until the 7th grade, when the school was closed.
He then went to Lacy School, where he graduated from high school.
He was drafted into the United States Army, serving from 1953 to 1955. He was in Company B 347 EAB SCARWAF.
Bob moved to Kingfisher, where he worked for Cimarron Electric for a number of years. He moved to Enid where he worked for OG&E 28 years, retiring in 1994.
He was united in marriage to Linda Kisling in 1969. He was a member of the DAV, BVA and the American Legion, where he served as Commander and District Commander. He was also a member of the NHPA for many years.
Bob enjoyed hunting quail on the farm and after returning home from the service, he and his bird dogs hunted ducks, turkeys and pheasants. He also enjoyed fishing, especially catfishing.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter ,Ronda and her husband, Terry; two sons, Jerry Walker; Larry Walker and his wife, Candy; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, June Lindsey.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Mr. Shaw's family wish to express their gratitude to Ross Hospice for their love and care of Bob. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Clinic in Enid, with Ladusau-Evans custodian of the funds.
