W. T. PARKS PASSED AWAY
AT ENID , MONDAY EVENING

Was Well Known Citizen of Hennessey

William Thorton Parks, age 52 years, died at 6 p.m. Monday, July 26 at Enid, where he had been under treatment by specialists for many weeks.  His condition was deemed critical from the first by the attending surgeon, but the hope that he might gain sufficient strength to undergo an operation buoyed up the hopes of both. For a time he seemed to gain ground, but finally his strength failed and he lost strength steadily until the final summons came. An abdominal ulcer was a contributing cause of his illness, but the direct cause of death could not be determined by the surgeons.  The announcement of his death sorely grieved his many old neighbors and friends of Hennessey and vicinity.

The funeral awaits arrival of relatives from Ohio, and has been set for Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the First Methodist Church.
