HENNESSEY- The funeral for Robert C. McMeekan, 85, who died Friday at an Okeene Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Cordry and Son Funeral Home in Hennessey. The Rev. Steve Bridwell will officiate. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 4, 1904, in Hennessey and was raised west of Hennessey in Lacey, where he attended schools. On Dec. 5, 1928, he married Clara Arnote.  They lived on a farm north of Lacey for six years before moving into Hennessey. He was a farmer and a rancher and a member of First Christian Church.

Surviving are four sisters, Nettie Renshaw and Hezel Witcher, both of Oklahoma City, Clara Baker of Carson City, Nev., and Mabel Bradfield of Hennessey.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 15, 1989 and five brothers.
