HENNESSEY — Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Ruth Marney, 71, of
Hennessey, will be 2 p.m. today, Oct. 19, 2012, at Hennessey First
Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Marney will officiate. Burial will follow
in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral
Home.
Betty was born Dec. 16, 1940, to Mr. E.A. and Mrs. Ruth Irene Seney
Beaman on her family’s farm in Lacy, Okla., and passed away Tuesday,
Oct. 16, 2012, in Okeene, Okla.
She attended
She married Danny Joe Marney Dec. 23, 1958. The couple made their
home in Drummond. They later moved to Texas, where they lived for
seven years before returning to the Lacy area.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma.
She was a member of Waukomis Baptist Church. She gave her life to
Jesus on Oct. 28, 1983, and is now at rest in the presence of Jesus.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Marney of Hennessey; daughter,
Tammy Treanor and husband David of Waukomis; son, David and wife
Tracy of Waukomis; and daughter, Sharon Cottom and husband Terry of
Meno.
She was preceded by her parents, one brother, W. Anglin, and
sister-in-law, Beulah Beaman.
Memorials may be made in her name to Waukomis Baptist Church, with
Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as
