Janette grew up in the Tulsa area and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1971. Shortly after high school she married Jerry Hudson and they were blessed with a son, Rick Hudson. A few years later they divorced and she stayed Texas where she met Leon Alvie Manning. She returned home to Tulsa to live with her mother and Leon followed her. Her mother didn’t approve of Leon but he won her over and they were married November 1, 1979. They were blessed with 2 children, one son Jason and finally a daughter Jennifer. Janette and Leon spent most of the rest of their live in Fairview. She worked as a cook in restaurants most of her adult life, the Queen’s Kitchen for many years and she also ran the Café at Southard to name a couple.
Leon, the love of her life, passed in 2003 after 24 years of marriage. Janette remained in Fairview and after a lengthy illness she passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning with her family around her.
She loved to Crochet and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She was truly loved and will be missed by many.
