Mrs. Anna Hicks, 80, passed away Monday afternoon, October 13, at the home  of her daughter, Mrs. Lamar Gritz, where she had made her home for several  years.

She had been in failing health for some time.  Her illness took a serious  turn ten days preceding her death.  Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning from the First Methodist  Church, with Rev. M. Carl Cartwright officiating. 

Interment was made in the Hennessey Cemetery. 

She had resided in the Hennessey community since coming to Oklahoma from Indiana in 1912 and had made many friends , who with relatives will mourn  their loss.

She is survived by a son and daughter, Glenn Lairy, Riverside, Calif., and Mrs.  Lamar Gritz, Hennessey, and three step children, E.C. Lairy, Lafayette, Ind. ;  Earl Lairy, and Bertha Bella, Springfield, Ill. and a foster daughter, Mrs. Irma  Hamil, Tulsa.
