The funeral for Larry D. Hixon, 52, of Dover, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Dover Christian Church. The Rev. Fred Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

He was born Feb. 15, 1954, in Kingfisher to Donald L. and Margaret A. Copeland Hixon and died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital.

He graduated from Grapevine High School in Texas, and attended the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in industrial arts and a minor in electronics. He worked for Penn Virginia Corp. in Crescent as plant operator for more than 26 years. He also farmed.

He married Rhonda S. Voss Aug. 20, 1976, in Enid.

Surviving are his wife, Rhonda of the home; three children, Curtis Hixon of Kingfisher, Wesley Hixon of Dover and Trisha Hixon of Crescent; one brother, Gary L. Hixon of Crescent; his parents, Donald and Margaret Hixon of Crescent; his grandmother, Virginia Hixon of Guthrie; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association.
