Carolyn “Carol” Ann (Eskew) Haymaker, 77, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at her home in Hennessy, OK.

Carolyn was born January 25, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK to Leo and Amanda Eskew. Carol was raised in Yukon, OK, and a 1958 graduate of Yukon High School. Carol retired from Dillard’s after 25 years of service. After retirement she took care of her husband Melvin during his battle with cancer until his death in September of 2012. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved cheering on her OU Sooners and OKC Thunder.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leo Eskew; mother, Amanda Eskew; husband, Melvin R. Haymaker and brothers, Bobbie and Jim Eskew.

She is survived by her daughter, Paige Stover and husband Quinn; son, Bradley Yates and fiancé Erika Hill; step-daughter, Tammy Marsh and husband John; step-son, Mike Haymaker and wife Alisha; brother, Don Eskew; sister, Marilyn Saling; sister Martha Deal and husband Gene; sister-in-law, Karen Eskew; grandchildren: Jake, Taylor and Magen Stover, Jackie and Kati Walters, Jennifer and Daniel Wymore, Colbey and Amey Haymaker and Skyelar Marsh and great-grandchildren: Cameron Walters, Deikyn Wymore and Londyn Simpson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. She is also survived by long time caregivers, Eva and Rudy Rameriz.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Red River Hospice, Kelsey Deckart and Amanda Moss for the excellent weekend care.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Dover Christian Church, 101 Oak St, Dover, OK 73734 or the American Lung Association.

Funeral services to celebrate her life were held Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Dover Christian Church, 101 W. Oak, Dover, OK, with interment following at the Hennessey Cemetery, Hennessey, OK.
