Sandra was born in Enid on October 7, 1957 to John James and Nita Gay Money Streck and died Tuesday April 9, 2024 at her home in Hennessey surrounded by her family and many special friends. She was happily married to Randy Hardin in Hennessey on June 6, 1975. Sandra was a member of the Hennessey Roundup Club for many years and named Rodeo Queen for two years. She was also a past member of a bowling league winning multiple first places. She has owned Gails Grill in Hennessey since 1987 and operated it until 2017. Her customers weren’t only customers to her, she made lifelong friends. In addition, Sandra and Randy worked closely together owning Hardin Ignition and Red Bud Storage. After Sandra’s retirement she decided to help her sister Sara at the Family Cafe a few days a week at the register. She made sure to greet each and every customer with a hello and a warm smile. She found joy to be around others. It was her kindness, loving nature that she never met a stranger. Sandra enjoyed time outdoors whether it was sitting on her back porch watching her birds or camping with the family. If there was a president of the George Strait fan club, she would have been it! When she wasn’t jamming out to George she was enjoying time at the casino alongside Randy.
Sandra was a selfless person and put others first. She was incredibly grateful for the special friends that stayed by her side during her time of need.
Sandra is survived by two daughters, Stacie Hardin, and Amy Smith, both of Hennessey; three grandchildren Alexis Clark, Lincoln and Ben Smith; stepfather Rod Means and wife Ramona of Enid; sisters Sally Witzke and Wayne Crump; Sara Fisher and husband Trey; three brothers James Streck and wife Trisha; John Streck and wife Shelly all of Hennessey, Andy Means and wife Lynn of Edmond; stepbrothers, Brant Means and wife Deedra of Hennessey, Bruce Means Oklahoma City, one stepsister Cindy Kerby and husband Ronnie of Kingfisher, and along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Randy, and one sister Suzanne Choate.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
