Dallas "Dal" Lyman Goodpasture
Funeral services for Dallas Lyman Goodpasture, 95, will be at the First Christian Church in Hennessey.
Burial will be in the Hennessey Cemetery under the Direction of Cordry-Sisson Funeral Home, Hennessey.
He was born July 27, 1901 near Lacy to Madison Lenard and Amanda Canter Goodpasture, and died Oct. 20, 1996 in Hennessey Care Center.
Dallas Lyman " Dal " Goodpasture and Lucy Leona Norris were married March 19, 1921 in Enid. They had been married 75 years.
He attended Harmony School and opened a barber shop in Hennessey in 1924 where he worked until well into his 80's.
Surviving are his wife Lucy, one son, Harland ( L. H. ) Goodpasture and his wife Lee of Roswell, NM: Two daughters, Juanita Goe of Roswell, NM and Mrs. Jack ( Breezie) Woods of Hennessey: 10 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, two sisters, Celia McGinnis and Myrtle Milton Ankney.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Vernia, John, Leland, Glen, and two sisters, Minnie Norris and Mary Albright and one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.
