Funeral for Darlina “Dee” Janet Copeland, 77, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday June 2, 2015, at 132 Bible Church. L.D. Choate will officiate.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Dee was born in Newark, Ohio, Jan. 20, 1938, to Robert J. and Gladys Tuel Slocumb and died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. Dee moved to Hennessey with her family in 1952. Her father was pastor of Union Chapel Christian Union Church. Dee moved to Hennessey with her family in 1952. Her father was pastor of Union Chapel Christian Union Church. She married Albert Ray Copeland Aug. 7, 1954.

She is survived by her husband, Albert, of the home; two daughters, Ginger Haworth and husband Donald of Waukomis and Jeana Swain and husband Leroy of Enid; six sons, Albert Dean Copeland and wife Sue of Stroud, Kevin Copeland and wife Vickie, Bobby Copeland and Randy Copeland, all of Hennessey and Bo Copeland and wife Linda of Mustang; one sister, Betty Simpson of Hebron, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother, two sisters, one grandson and two great-grandsons.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to 132 Bible Church, with the funeral home serving as custodian of funds. (Submitted by family)
