Julie J. {Judson} Choate
HENNESSEY - The funeral for Julie J. Choate, 84, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 28, 2004 at the First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Randy Burke. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. The casket will be open at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed at the church.
Julie was born on April 27, 1920 to Charles and Jeanne Leafgreen Judson and died Monday October 25, 2004 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.
Julie graduated from Southard High School and Enid Business College. She married Jack Hopkins Choate in Oklahoma City on September 13, 1947.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Jule was an active community supporter for many years.
Julie is survived by one son, Ralph J. Choate and wife Jan of Hennessey; four grandchildren, Jack H. Choate, III and wife Darla of Hennessey, Denise Ruhl and husband Chris of Kingfisher, Phillip Choate of Norman, Judson Choate and wife Andrea of Hennessey; one sister, Bobbye Buchanan of Folsom, California, a special cousin, Ernestine Cook of Oklahoma City; and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Jack H. Choate, one son, Jack H. Choate, Jr., one sister and one brothers, preceded Julie in death.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the First Christian Church.
