Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Shirley was born August 12, 1932, in Enid to Ernest Romaine (Pop) and Mary Pearl Tharp (Mom) Weeks and died Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at her home in Hennessey. She graduated from Hennessey High School and attended college at Oklahoma A&M. Shirley married Dr. James E. Binkley in Hennessey January 24, 1953. She graduated from Hennessey High School and attended college at Oklahoma A&M. Shirley married Dr. James E. Binkley in Hennessey January 24, 1953. She was a member of First Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and Hennessey Ladies Golf Association.
Shirley is survived by one daughter, Kathleen A. (Kathy) Painter and husband, Jack, of Hennessey; one son, Dr. James M. Binkley of Adrian, Missouri; one brother, Charles Weeks and wife, Judy, of Seiling; two grandchildren, Erica and husband, Dr. George Bohle III, of Yukon, Lance Painter and wife, Sara, of Hennessey; great-grandchildren, Kolby Painter, Ally Painter, Ryker Painter and Alexander Bohle and Baby Bohle; sister-in-law, Louise Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. James E. Binkley; brother Don Weeks; and sister-in-law LaGay Hill.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or National Blood Clot Alliance with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
