The funeral for Marella Sue Bell, 77 will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 23. 2021 at First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Ish Engle.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Sue was born in Hartshorne on November 8, 1943, to George and Belma McMullen Linney and died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Hospice.

Sue married Hershell Bell in Durant in 1968. Shortly thereafter they moved to Hennessey and Sue taught in the Hennessey Public Schools for thirty-nine years. She primarily taught fourth grade but also taught Title 1 reading, seventh and eighth-grade reading, and in the ESL program.

Sue was a member of First Christian Church and Hennessey Child Study Club.


She is survived by two daughters Terri Cobble and husband Lonny of Edmond, Angie Bell of Dover; six grandchildren Mackenzie Lopez, Zac Cobble, Hailey Cobble, Carly Cobble, Tayler Pryor, Rilynn Mathis; four great-grandchildren Joey Lopez, Scarlett Lopez, Eva Lopez, and Clancee Burum.
 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hershell; three sisters, and two brothers.
