Sterling Sturgeon drowns in sand pit, while trying to learn to swim.
Tragedy happened Saturday evening near Ames.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. K. V. Sturgeon of near Lacy and was a
former student of both Lacy and Hennessey schools
