Sylvia Julia Nolte was born near Ames, OK May 10, 1911 and died at Curtis, October 9, 1913 age 2 years, four months and 24 days.

Her death was very sudden and unexpected being caused by eating the heads from a number of matches. Medical aid was rendered at once but the deadly poison gained control and death was soon the result. The deceased was the daughter of Henry and Julia Nolte who formerly resided southeast of town and the body was brought here for burial.

The funeral services were held here Saturday evening, October 11 at the Cimmaron Valley church, Rev. Martin Sturgeon preaching the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest beside those of her two little brothers.

She leaves her parents, one brother and other relatives to mourn her loss. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrowful affliction
