Little Carlos Jay Nolte, son of John Henry and Julia Margaret Nolte, southeast of Ames, was born November 24, 1906 and departed this life March 25, 1909, aged 2 years, 4 months and 1 day.

Carlos went on to meet a brother who was waiting his coming to that other world where all is joy, peace and happiness. He was a bright little boy and his death casts a deep shadow over the family deeply.

He leaves a father, mother and one brother, besides other relatives to mourn his loss.

The funeral service was held in the Cimarron Valley church Saturday afternoon, March 27, Rev. Williams of Ames preaching the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery there.
