Funeral service for Leroy O. Brawner, 51, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. today, Dec. 18, 2012, at Brown Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor H. L. Jayne of Santa Fe Baptist Church, Weatherford, Texas, officiating. Burial will follow in Cimarron Valley Cemetery. Service is entrusted to Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Leroy was born April 18, 1961, in Enid to Ernest and Lula Brawner and passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, in Enid.
He moved to Cimarron, Kan., with his family, then back to Enid. He attended Enid and Waukomis schools.
He worked in the oil field for more than 30 years and enjoyed life on the rig. He was also a skilled mechanic and loved to fish.
He is survived by his mother, Lula Gratner Brawner of Enid; sister, LaVonne Moore of Texas; and brothers, Ronnie Brawner of Enid and David Brawner and wife Jeanne of Kansas.
He was preceded by his father, Ernest Brawner; sister, Jessie Brawner; and his grandparents.
