William Edd O'Neal

Enid, OK — A graveside service for William Edd O’Neal, 68, of Hitchcock, will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in Cashion Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Barnhardt will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home, Enid.

He was born March 1, 1940, at Mulhall to Leo and Gracie Martin O’Neal and died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in Enid.

He was raised in the Mulhall area and moved to Guthrie in 1955. He married Cheryl Banks Sept. 8, 1962, in Guthrie. She died May 1, 1999. He worked for Oklahoma Furniture Company, Guthrie until the late 1960s when he moved to Oklahoma City, where he worked for a steel spiral staircase manufacturer. He worked for Fred Jones Manufacturer, Oklahoma City as a welder from 1972 to 2002. He married Patricia Ann Price Aug. 30, 2004, at Hitchcock. He was a member of Slaughterville Baptist Church, recently attending New Life Assembly of God Church, Hitchcock.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia of the home; one daughter, Stephanie Ranae Roesler of Noble; two sisters, Margie Louise Cypert and Dorothy Powell, both of Guthrie; one brother, James O’Neal of Guthrie; four step-children, Peggy Dotson of Oklahoma City, Xylia Cayot of Fairview, Donald Pennel of El Reno and Jeffery Pennel of Kingfisher; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to charity of donor’s choice.
