Raymond Jacob Kinney was born December 23, 1931 near Seward, Oklahoma to George and Ida (Patterson) Kinney. He died on December 11, 2015, in Waco, Texas. He was a retired farmer.

Raymond graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1949 and entered the Air Force in 1952. While on active service, he married Bonnie Rae Catron of Cashion, Oklahoma on September 3, 1955. They were stationed at Del Rio, Texas. In 1956, he was Honorably Discharged and soon thereafter they established a residence on a farm near Cashion, Oklahoma.

Raymond was a member of the Cashion Masonic Lodge for 62 years, holding many offices. He also held a real estate license for a number of years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William G. Kinney. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Bonnie Kinney of the home, two sons David Kinney and wife Shari of Norman, Oklahoma and Dennis Kinney of Waco, Texas; two grandsons, Connor Kidd and wife Julie of Ross, California, Chris Kinney of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Henley and Colton Kidd of Ross, California, and Carson Kinney of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He is also survived by one sister, Marilyn Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Smith Memorial Chapel, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK.

Interment will follow at Cashion Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be Sunday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, and Monday, 8:30 AM - 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
