Rites Held Wednesday for Emma E. Hatfield
Funeral for Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Hatfield was held Wednesday afternoon in the Nazarine church with Rev. Forrest Woodward of Kingfisher officiating. Burial was in Cashion cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.
She was born March 25, 1881, at Wilsonville, Nebr. and died Monday Feb. 24 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. She came with her parents, Ananias and Adeline (Christner) Lenhart, to Lockridge, Oklahoma Territory, at the age of eight years.
Mrs. Hatfield was married to Benjamin F. Hatfield on December 20, 1900. They farmed in the Lockridge and Cashion communities until 1944, when they moved to Guthrie. She was a member of the Church of Nazarine in Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Mable Irene Lawson, her parents, six brothers, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson.
Survivors include one son, Clifford Hatfield of Guthrie; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Mae Myers of Woodward, Mrs. Madge Blair of Guthrie and Mrs. Juanita Whisler of Oklahoma City; one brother, Mose Lenhart of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren
