Recitation of the Rosary for Albin J. Vaverka, 98, will be at 7 p.m. today at Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  The Rev. Mike Mason will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

He was born January 19, 1905, south of Bison to Anton and Frances Pribil Vaverka and died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at the Methodist Home of Enid.  He married Bessie Hromas October 14, 1930 at Bison.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons, Wilfred of Independence Kansas, Vernon of Parsons Kansas, and Ronnie of Hennessey; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, two sisters, six brothers and one grandchild.  Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.

Hennessey – Recitation of Rosary for Bessie Vaverka, 93, will be 7 PM today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday in the church. The Rev. Mark Mason will be celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry – Gritz Funeral Home.

She was born December 29, 1908, in Waukomis to Frank and Bessie Milacek Hromas.

On October 14, 1930, she married Albin Vaverka. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

Surviving are her husband, Albin, three sons, Wilfred of Independence, Kansas, Vernon of Parsons, Kansas, and Ronnie of the home; six grandchildren; and 10 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson and six brothers.
