JOSEPH ANTON SKODA  DIES IN FRANCE 

Joseph Anton Skoda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Skoda, who reside a few miles 

south of Waukomis, died in France, on December 30, 1918, according to a  telegram received last week by his parents.  Death resulted from spinal  meningitis. 

Mr. Skoda was 25 years of age and registered with the first draft in June, 1917.

He enlisted in the medical corps and arrived in France about the first of last 

October. His parents did not know of his illness until the message came  announcing his death.
