HENNESSEY, OK — Memorial service for Raymond J. Shimanek, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Cremation arrangements by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Raymond was born March 21, 1931, east of Hennessey to Ed and Frances Havlik Shimanek and died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Hennessey Care Center.

Surviving are wife, Marjorie of the home; son, Ray Alan Shimanek of Hennessey; sisters, Wilma Shimanek of Fort Worth, Texas, Mildred Shimanek and Georgia Shimanek of Hennessey, and Mary Stroda of Ramona, Kan.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded by his parents, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
