ENID, Okla. — Mass of Christian burial for Paul Michael Roder, 73, of Hennessey, will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Joe Arledge as celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Hennessey, under the kind guidance of Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Paul was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Hennessey, Okla., the son of C.M. and Alberta Markes Roder and passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013, at his residence.

He was raised and educated in Hennessey, graduating from Hennessey High School with the class of 1957. Paul attended Oklahoma State University.

He married Glenna Fluman in Hennessey on Nov. 26, 1960.

Paul was a lifelong farmer and worked as a truck driver for Dollar Transportation. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a trustee for the city of Hennessey.

Paul is survived by his wife, Glenna of the residence; sons, Glenn and wife Treva Roder of Hennessey, Paul Lynn Roder of Houston, Texas, Ken and wife Gay Roder of Denton, Texas, John and wife Pam Roder of Waxahachie, Texas, and Phillip Roder of Oklahoma City; daughter, Teresa and husband Chris Semrad of Hennessey; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Lambert of Titusville, Fla.; six nephews and one niece.

Paul was preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Georgia Vincent; and brother, Dale Roder.

The family has selected Hospice Circle of Love or St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund as appropriate for memorial donations.
