The funeral for Patty Lynn Vest, 52, of McAlester, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Bishop Chapel of Memories, McAlester. Glen Myers, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery, Hennessey, with Father Kevin Ratterman officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 10, 1955, in Enid to Alfred Eugene and Georgianna Trojan Taborsky and died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at her home.

She graduated in the class of 1973 from Marshall High School, just outside of Enid. After high school, she began working for an insurance company in Enid and then moved to McAlester in the late 1970s. She continued her insurance career, becoming licensed to sell life, accident, health, property and casualty insurance for Oklahoma Farmers Union Insurance Company. In the mid 1990s, she purchased her own agency in Crowder, the Patty Vest Agency, of Oklahoma Farmers Union Insurance Company. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed fishing and cooking. She passed away at her residence at the age of 52.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Taborsky and a sister, Kay Taborsky.

Surviving are one daughter, Kristi Trimm of Kansas City, Mo; her mother, Georgianna Taborsky of Enid; two sisters, Beverly James of Little Rock, Ark., and Tammy Taborsky of Enid.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Pastor Glen Myers officiating. Committal service will be provided by Father Kevin Ratterman.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery in Hennessey under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Fund.
