A Mass of Christian burial for Esther Grace Ludwig, 98, of Hennessey, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hennessey. The Rev. Roberto Quant will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz
Funeral Home, Hennessey.
She was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Grove, Iowa, to George and Sadie
Fink Funk and died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Windsor Hills Nursing
Home, Oklahoma City.
She lived in South Dakota and Minnesota before moving to Vega,
Texas, in July 1926. She married Frank Ludwig May 20, 1931, in
Bison. They lived in Hennessey for 66 years. She was a member of St.
Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Altar Society.
Surviving are one son, George Ludwig of Kingfisher; one daughter,
Christine Curtis of Oklahoma City; one sister, Verla Maguire of
Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and seven
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, three brothers, one
daughter, one son, one grandson and two great-grandsons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Joseph's
Catholic Church.
