The funeral for Raymond D. Kokojan, 92, will be at 11:00 AM
Monday June 11, 2018 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church,
officiated by Rev. Dr. John Toles.
Private family graveside
services will follow later at Calvary Cemetery in Hennessey
under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Raymond was born at Enid on August 20, 1926 to Louis and Lucille
Felder Kokojan and died Monday June 4, 2018 at Enid Senior Care.
Raymond was Valedictorian of his graduating class at Hennessey
High School, however, he left school in March of that year to
serve in the US Army Air Corps in WWII. His parents received his
diploma on his behalf at commencement ceremonies in May.
Following the war Raymond returned to Oklahoma and attended
Oklahoma University. He then took a management position with ABC
Mortgage Company for fifteen years, after which time he returned
to Hennessey to farm.
Following the death of his wife Mary, Raymond married Judi
Mackey in Enid on February 14, 2011.
Raymond is survived by his wife Judi of the home; one daughter
Deborah Somer of Scottsdale, AZ; one son Gregory Haas of
Midland, TX; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife Mary and one son
Raymond (Kokie) Kokojan, Jr.
Raymond's wife Judi wishes to express her appreciation to Enid
Senior Care and Grace Care for their kind and compassionate
care.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Enid SPCA,
with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
