Kokojan was born July 14, 1898, on the family farm southwest of Waukomis where he was raised and attended school. On Feb. 6, 1923, he married Minnie Branuner at Bison. They made their home on the farm his father homesteaded during the opening of the Cherokee Strip.
Kokojan was a farmer and stockman all his life, retiring in 1952, when the couple moved to Enid. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie; three sons, Henry, Irving, Texas, Wilfrid, Waukomis, and Herman, Alexandria, Va.; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Albert, Enid; and one sister, Mes. Emma Meade, Bison.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Xauerian Building Fund or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Kidney Fund, with the funeral home serving as custodian.
