Gary Dewayne Forbeck
February 23, 1942 - June 17, 2024

Gary Dewayne Forbeck, 82, of Newkirk, went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2024. Gary was born in Blackwell, OK on February 23, 1942, and was the eldest son of Wayne and Maxine Forbeck. He was raised in Newkirk where he attended school and graduated from Newkirk High School. He began working at a very young age at many places and businesses around Newkirk. He served 6 years in the Oklahoma National Guard. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he briefly studied Meteorology.

Gary moved to Enid where he met and married Connie Hoopingarner. Together, they had 3 children, Kevin, Lisa, and Chad. He was a licensed private investigator and CLEET-certified security officer. He retired from the United States Postal Service, but later went back to work for his tribe at the Kaw Southwind Casino as surveillance.

He enjoyed being outdoors whether it was boating, skiing, fishing, or just working outside in his yard. He loved watching college football and Sooner softball with his daughter, Lisa. He always kept a close eye on the weather and served as his family's personal weatherman. He was there to send up a prayer and always kept his prayer list up to date. His faith in the Lord, strength in prayer, and love for his family will forever be remembered.
