Allen Thomas ''A.T.'' Cornell longtime Kay county resident passed away in Tonkawa, OK Saturday September 10, 2016. He was 65 years of age. AT was born March 14, 1951 in Pawnee, OK to George Harry and Vivian Horse Chief Eagle Cornell.

Funeral service on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 will follow the Traditional Noon Feast and Give away in the Tonkawa Tribe Gymnasium with Pastor Jim White officiating. Interment will follow in the Tonkawa Tribal Cemetery. Under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK

AT attended school in Chilocco Indian School and graduated High School at Po High. AT married Vanice June Howe and she preceded him in death and then he married Melissa Ann Arkeketa and she also preceded him in death. At was one of the first graduates of the Indian Law Enforcement Academy and he served in the Ponca Tribal Police for several years then he became the Tonkawa Tribal Police Chief and serviced numerous years and when he retired from law enforcement he had over 20 years of service. AT then went into construction work and he enjoyed being on a Demolition crew for several years. AT was a gifted artist and he enjoyed doing Bead work and building things for his Grandchildren which became his focus in life.

Survivor include: 2 sons: Henry David Cornell and wife Crystal of Iowa. George Cornell and wife Emily of Ponca City, OK; 2 daughters: Erica Cornell and Allyn Cornell both of Tonkawa, OK4 brothers; Simon Cornell of Ponca City, OK, Richard Cornell, Michael Cornell and George E. ''G.E.'' Cornell all of Tonkawa, OK; 2 sisters Marilyn Cornell and Georgiana ''Mitzi'' Cornell both of Ponca City, OK. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and nephews

AT was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 wives, 1 Son; Allen Cornell JR, 1 brother; Bruce Cornell and 1 grandson; Dominique Paschal
