Virgil Lopeman Dies at Tonkawa
Tonkawa - Virgil L. Lopeman, 74, died late Wednesday morning at his home, 904 North Main.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in McCafferty-Bolick Funeral Home, burial following in the Tonkawa Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Lopeman, a veteran of World War I, was born at Earlton, Kan., on Feb. 2. 1894, and had been a resident of Tonkawa since 1936, coming here from Ponca City.
Surviving him are his wife Cleo; three sons, Raymond and Johnnie of Tonkawa and Joe of Ferguson, Mo.; two daughters Mrs. Mary Goldsmith and mrs. Bessie Newman, both of Ponca City, and 17 grandchildren.
Lopeman was preceded in death by one son.
