Sharon Smith
January 26, 1937 - January 10, 2024

Sharon Smith, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on January 10, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She entered this world on January 26, 1937, in Clayton, NM, born to Franklin and Eva Hegwood.

One word that could be used to describe Sharon was love; Sharon was full of love, for her family and for Jesus, and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She believed in Jesus and the power of his blood; she would always say she didn't need anything because she had Jesus and that was all she needed. She never met a stranger and wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need. She also had a fondness for dogs and her favorite TV show (and boyfriend!) was Andy Griffith. Sharon was a prayer warrior whose favorite verse was Psalms 91 and wanted to save everyone she knew.

Those left behind to cherish Sharon's memory are her son David and wife Mary Adams of Broken Arrow; daughter Kathy and husband Steve Schilb of Harrah, OK; granddaughters: Melissa Davis of Midwest City and Opal Gray of Broken Arrow; grandson Wyatt and wife Melanie Adams of Mesquite, TX; four great-grandchildren: Mary Jane, Aden, and Daisy Psickle and John David Adams; brother Duane and wife Carolyn Hegwood; 3 nieces: Audrey Cochran, Debbie James, and Lane Reynolds all of Boise City, OK; and longtime friends Jeanna and Randy Walker of Tonkawa, OK. Preceded in death by Parents, Frank and Eva Hegwood, grandson Jeremy Moore and best friend Marie Mayo.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19th, 2023, 2 p.m., at the First Assembly Church, 4825 W. White Ave, in Blackwell, OK. Burial will follow at the Tonkawa Odd Fellows Cemetery.
