September 16, 1940 - July 8, 2025
Roddy Duane Carr, 84, of Blackwell, OK, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 14, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Tonkawa, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK, 74653.
Roddy was born on Monday, September 16, 1940, in Eufaula, OK, to Frank Carr and Ada (Campbell) Hardin. He married Mary Daily on December 13, 1963. He spent his professional career in banking, retiring in 2003, as the President of First National Bank. Roddy was a longtime member of the Tonkawa Lion's Club, Kiwanis and, and the Jaycee's. He also served on the board of Northern Oklahoma College, and the Blackwell Summer Baseball Board. Roddy enjoyed being outdoors; spending his time camping, and fishing
Survivors include: his sons, Steven Carr of Ft. Gibson, OK, Greg Carr and his wife, Leslie of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Kristina Carr of Blackwell, OK; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Frankie Carr of Anchorage, AK. He is preceded in death by: his wife, Mary; parents Frank and Ada; brothers, Donald Carr, Kenneth Carr; and sister, Winema.
