Wanda Hazen passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Shawn Manor in Ponca City. She was 85 years old.
Wanda was born on March 24, 1931 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Floyd and Opal Marie (Blubaugh) Sherron. She married Raymond Lloyd Hazen on June 28, 1946 in Winfield, KS. Wanda enjoyed working outside and cooking. She was very proud to be part Cherokee.
Wanda is survived by her sister; Georgia Presley of California, children; Allen Hazen and Wayne Hazen, both of Ponca City, grandchildren; Shawndra Hazen of Ponca City, Travis Hazen of Ponca City, Jessie Hazen of Florida, Terra Hazen of Florida, Casey Hazen of Florida, Tory Hazen, Questa Hazen, Quailla Hazen and Shallon Hand all of Ponca City, great grandchildren; Dayton Rickman of Ponca City, Jesse Hand, Jr. of Ponca City, Tristan Hazen of Ponca City, Haydne Dennison of Ponca City, Conner Winterhalter of Kaw City, Kenzie Belair of Ponca City, Emmy Feaster of Ponca City, Adam Hazen of Ponca City, Noah Freeman of Ponca City, and Hunter Freeman of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step father; George Hughes, her husband; Raymond Hazen, daughter; Terry Lynn, and sons; Mark Hazen and Glenn Hazen.
Visitation will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday afternoon August 11, 2016 until 8pm and Friday from 8am to 4pm.
A rosary will be held for Wanda at 6:30pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ponca City. Care of the family is under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory of Ponca City.
