Ron Sebor
August 12, 1938 - August 30, 2025

Ronold Louis Sebor, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family on August 30, 2025. He was born on August 12, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Frank Sebor and Della Mae (Swinford) Sebor. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4,2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Newkirk with Father Alex Kroll officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Ron grew up attending a country school until 8th grade, and then went to Newkirk where he graduated from Newkirk High School with the class of 1956. On July 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Rozann F. Voegele at St. Elizabeth Church in Marine, Illinois. Together, they built a loving family and shared more than six decades of life together. Ron farmed with his dad and worked part time at the courthouse and later took a full-time job at the county clerk's office as a purchasing agent where he retired in 2000.

He has one year of accordion lessons and while in high school, he played the accordion at an Italian restaurant in Newkirk called Pepia's Cafe. After he married Rozann, he taught himself to play an old piano left in the house they lived in, and later taught himself to play the organ. He played for over 40 years at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He would always say "I don't know how I do it, it truly was a talent from God!" Ron was a man of strong faith and devotion to his family. He was known for always carrying a rosary with him, a reflection of his deep Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Rozann of Newkirk; his daughter, Deborah S. (Steve) Szoke of Lakeland, Florida; and his son, Ronold L. Sebor, Jr. (Kristina) of Wichita, Kansas. He was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Della Mae Sebor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ron Sebor Memorial Fund for the purchase of a new organ for St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Newkirk, OK.

Ron will be remembered for his faith, his devotion to family, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him.
