June 26, 1947 - January 6, 2016

Rhea Dawn Born, age 68, lifelong Ponca City resident passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her home. Rhea Dawn's life will be celebrated with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Kevin Ratterman officiating. She will be laid to rest privately.

After graduating from St. Mary's Catholic School, she married Ken Born. From this Union, they had two daughters. Together they owned and operated Ken Born Small Engine Repair. In 1990, she began working as a teacher's assistant for the special education department at the Ponca City High School. She retired in 2012.

She enjoyed her family and making every holiday special. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where her beautiful singing voice was heard by many. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and companion to many elders.

Survivors include her adored husband of the home, daughters, Catherine and Cynthia, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her mother, five brothers, a sister and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters.

Rhea Dawn may be remembered with a memorial contribution to the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 S. 8th Street, Ponca City, OK 74601.
