The burial for Bobby Rex Moss, 79, of Billings, will be 8:30 a.m. today in Riverview Cemetery, Tonkawa. A celebration of life service is at 1 p.m. at Billings Christian Church. The Rev. Kent Reubell will officiate. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Home, Tonkawa.
He was born June 12, 1926, in Tonkawa to Erett and Opal Swihart Moss and died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.
He moved with his family to Kilgore, Texas, in 1937. He graduated from Leverett's Chapel High School in Overton, Texas, in 1944, and attended Texas A & M.
He married Frances Hunter Oct. 12, 1946, in Laird Hill. They moved to Billings, where he began his farming career and was named Oklahoma Farmer of the Year. He was a member of Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years and served on Billings school board. He was an elder in Billings Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Frances, of the home; one son, Monte Moss of Billings; two daughters, Lida Moss of Tulsa and Celestia Reynolds of Enid; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of donor's choice or Billings Christian Church.
