December 3, 1926 - November 17, 2021Betty Joyce Sherrill passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 17, 2021, while under hospice care in Edmond, OK.
Betty was born to Lindsy Brewer and Georgia Myrtle Kester on December 3, 1926, in Osage, OK.
Gerald Wayne Sherrill Sr. and Betty were married in Pawnee, OK, February 14, 1945.
They settled in Ponca City, OK, where they were blessed with and raised three children, Gerald Wayne Jr., Teresa, and Robert.
Betty loved here Sunset Baptist Church members and especially her Sunday School Classes where she participated as long as she was able.
Betty truly enjoyed healthy activities for many years, like water walking at the YMCA and walking many miles in her own neighborhood with her friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and her son Wayne.
She is survived by Robert and his wife, Christie, Teresa, all of Edmond, OK. as well as daughter in law Nancy Sherrill and grandson, Randy Sherrill both of Ponca City, OK.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Trout Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park, Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
