Seglem, Rickey Dean, age 65, Kaw City resident, finished his battle with cancer at his home on May 23, 2017. Rickey was born on July 11, 1951 in Wichita, KS to Melvin C. Seglem Jr. and Clara "June" (Wheeler) Seglem.

Rickey grew up in Wichita, graduating from South High School in 1969. Rickey married Tamara A. (Wentworth) Seglem on February 2, 1985 in Wichita. He retired from RCB at the beginning of 2017, where he worked in the IT Department. Rickey attended First Christian Church in Shidler with his wife Tamara. Rickey's hobbies included caring for his pets Tuffy and Tiny, boating out on the lake, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed law enforcement and spending time with his mentor Bernie Drowatzky.

Survivors include his beloved wife Tamara of the home, daughter, Karin (Seglem) Stansbury of Wichita, her two sons, and one granddaughter and one grandson, daughter, Deanna (Seglam) Ramirez of Ponca City, her two daughters and two sons, and one grandson. He is also survived by his sisters, Debra Hurley and husband Ken of Randall, KS, Susan Gorge and husband Johnny of Wichita, KS, and Diane Kessler and husband Mike of Peck, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rickey is preceded in death by his parents and dear friend Bernie Drowatzky.

A ceremony to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the chapel at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory with pastor Ron Kirk of the First Christian Church of Shidler officiating. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City. Urn bearers will be Rickey Ramirez and Javier Ramirez. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
