Emma Jane “Jeannie” Robbins, resident of Marland, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at her home surrounded by family. She was 71.

Jeannie was born the daughter of Harry Menkhoff and Jessie Elizabeth (Mercer) Menkhoff in Liverpool, Ohio on March 30, 1937.

On September 20, 1955 she married Bill Robbins in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and to this union, six children were born. Jeannie loved going to and watching mud running. She also loved to do oil paintings, crochet dolls and then give them away. Her family was very important to her and she truly cherished the time they spent together.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill Robbins of Marland, Oklahoma; children, Bobby Robbins, Bonnie Robbins, Billy Joe Robbins, Lily “Tiny” Reed and Chuck Robbins; sister, Lorelle Medford of Collinsville, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Roxanne Matthews; brother, Bill Menkhoff; sister, Ruby Hall; as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.
Casket bearers for the service will be Bob Robbins, Joe Robbins, Chuck Robbins, Chuck Robbins the Second, Timmy Robbins and Marvin Reed.
Honorary casket bearers will be James Matthews, Parker Beard, Troy Crowell and Jim Page.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Reverend Wilford Wisel, of Marland Baptist Church officiating and Chaplin Mike Sweetman, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma assisting. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jeannie’s honor to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Ponca City, Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
