Wilma Mae Mullennax, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away at her home Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was 89 years old.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 am Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Sunset Baptist Church with Reverend Matt Click officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Trout Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Pat Bunty, Steve Tucker, Gary Tucker, Pat Lynch, Adam Mullennax, and Justin Mullennax.

Wilma was born on May 30, 1929 in Pawnee, OK, one of six children born to George H. and Mary Callie (Martin) Marrs. She attended school in Pawnee, OK and graduated in 1947. On December 21, 1946 she married James I. Mullennax in Sedan, KS and the couple moved to Ponca City in 1950.

Wilma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafts. She was a faithful member of Sunset Baptist Church for many years. She was also an avid volunteer for the community.

Survivors include two sons, James and wife Marilyn of Columbus, GA, Terry and wife Connie of Ponca City, grandchildren, James Adam and wife Brandy of Lugoff, SC, Amy of Columbia, SC, Justin and wife Cassara of Winfield, KS, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Emma Tucker of Pawnee, OK, Louise Bishop of Ponca City, one special niece, Debbie Lynch and husband Pat of Oklahoma City, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, two brothers, and one sister.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
