Hubbard Road, Ponca City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. with Mr. Stephen Flurry presiding.

She was a devoted teacher in the Oklahoma City school system from 1992-2000. Shannon and Andrew McLain were united in marriage in Edmond on August 18, 1996. Their daughter, Ashlynn Hope, was born in the year 2000 and their son, Mitchell Levi John, was born in 2002. She loved them dearly.

Her hobbies included working in her flower garden, crafting with her children and home decorating. She adored the HGTV decoratinghome improvement television channel and it brought her great joy when her loving dog Charlotte watched the Animal Planet each day. She was also known as the Coupon Queen and would go to the store and purchase many things for her family with only the coupons in her purse. Shannon was a devout member of the Philadelphia Church of God in Edmond. She was a sweet, kind and generous lady who had many of the same friends her entire life. Once you met her, you loved her. Her body has left us, but her beautiful spirit and courageous example of faith will remain with us and inspire us forever. Her bright smile and her vivid blue eyes lit up our lives like a rainbow.
